Auggie Pullman- The Wonder

I finished the book Wonder a few days ago. And let me just say, it has made my 'Top 10 books list'.

In 2017, namely in Class 4, I went to watch Wonder the movie. It was a nice one and watching it with all my school friends made it so much better. Many people had already read the book but I hadn't.

And so, three years later, I found myself opening the first page of Wonder. It took me about a week to finish it and when I did, I had no words. So many happy moments and sad moments in one book. I must admit, this was the first book in which all emotions were packed into one story. R.J Palacio has done an amazing job on Wonder.

The way she portrayed everybody's point of view was interesting and I absolutely loved it!

Summer was such a true friend and I admired her for willingly coming to sit with Auggie at the lunch table. Jack Will was a nice friend, I was taken aback when I read the part in which he spoke about Auggie to Julian but later on, I realised why he had done it. Julian was not very nice, but in the prologue, his Grandmere tells him a story of when she was young. That chapter truly touched my heart, and even Julian took a moral out of it. You have to read that chapter, even if you have not read the book. You really must!

I felt satisfied when the book ended, Julian apologised for being mean. Auggie had a whole new group of friends who were perfectly okay with the way he looked.

I give this book 5 out of 5 stars.

Everybody in the world should get a standing ovation at least once in their life because we all overcometh the world.

~August Pullman

Wonder truly is a wonder.
